The Michigan Public Health Code requires that each ambulance service operate under the direction of a Medical Control Authority (MCA). These MCA's are created by area hospitals and each MCA has a Medical Director who is responsible for the clinical care.
CEMS Medical Transport operates under the supervision of the Berrien, Cass and Van Buren Medical Control Authority Medical Directors respectively.
Berrien County: Lakeland and Community Hospitals
Cass County: Borgess Lee Memorial Hospitals
Van Buren County: South Haven and Lakeview Hosptials
